I don't know why it took us this long to see Hellboy, but it did. It was quite good & now we're ready to see Hellboy II which is supposed to be even better.

Um, so, yes...on a Christian Bale binge...and did you know he's Welsh!? Why does he always have an American accent, even in movies where it doesn't matter where the character is from? He started talking in one of the extra features, and I was like, "wait, what!? he's British!?" But really, good movie. Action scenes seemed like they tried to rip off the Matrix, but didn't do it quite as well, but it was a good, classic utopian story and the action scenes were still pretty cool.

We saw The Dark Knight on Saturday, and were so excited by it we came home afterwards & watched Batman Begins. Christian Bale is by far the best Batman, but really all the main characters in the movie are fantastic and that makes a huge difference. (And yes, I do count Chicago as one of the main characters ;) If only Maggie Gyllenhaal had been in the first movie, too!

This movie was really sweet and the characters were great. When it came to the end, my only disappointment was that the story didn't go on a little longer.

I heart Will Ferrell. I just saw this movie for the first time. It was stupid & hilarious, just as expected. How can you NOT laugh at Will Ferrell?

Two villain/heroes lead this film...the question is, what is each mans true intentions and are things really black & white or just grey. You'll still be wondering until the very end.

Excellent movie. And, wow Viggo makes an amazing Russian criminal. The ending was sad, but also not, and also not even an ending, but you'll have to watch the movie to find out what I mean.

"Ernest Hemingway once wrote: 'The world is a fine place, and worth fighting for.' I agree with the second part."

This movie may be a little cheesy, but its also packed full of fun and excitement, not to mention lots of historical places, trivia and government documents! I highly recommend the second one as well, which we saw over the Christmas Holidays. About the second one Chip says: "It's like a commercial for how awesome the Library of Congress is!"

This movie is SO funny! Definitely better than Talladega Nights, not as crude as some of his movies, but not a cross over like Stranger Than Fiction or Elf. If you like stupid, funny movies, this one is for you. Oh, and Chip liked it too (he laughed the whole way through!) which means it really IS funny!

An entertaining way to pass the time, especially when stuck in the Denver airport till 1 am. Just make sure you're screens facing a wall and/or there's no kids around :)

A new Star Trek movie is in the works, and is supposed to take place when Kirk and Spock are still at Starfleet Academy. Apparently Captain Christopher Pike (captain of the Enterprise before Kirk) is going to have a cameo appearance and may be played by Tom Cruise. (!?!?!) This is still just a rumor, but I will not be happy if it happens.
Personally, I've always thought Ray Liotta looks an awful like Jeffrey Hunter, who played the original Captain Pike. (I mean seriously! They could be related!) So you tell me. Who should play this man:

I thought this was some kind of fairy tale that took place in an entirely different magical world. Imagine my surprise to find the majority of this tale actually takes place in WWII France. Its an excellent movie, but a little gory and disturbing at parts, so be warned.

Excellent acting, suspenseful story, great ending. Plus Boston-Irish Mafia, which makes any movie even better.

Wow. So good. I have to watch it at least once more to get all the subtleties. Great acting, great story.

This movie was interesting, and quite sad, but I felt like it left you hanging with no real resolution. The four intertwining story lines were wonderful...I just wanted to know what happened. But thanks to whoever decided to watch this on On Demand last night! :)

I love this movie. We saw it in the theatre when it first came out, and just saw it again on DVD. I do love a good battle movie, especially when the story and the characters are exceedingly good.

This movie was quite good, and had a very touching ending. It really made me want to see "Stranger Than Fiction" (that new Will Ferrell movie) even more, since they are both directed by Marc Forster.

This movie sat in its little red Netflix envelope on top of our tv for about a week. Chip was NOT thrilled to watch it. We finally sat down to watch it Sunday afternoon. About half way through the movie, Chip said, "I need to stop doubting your movie choices." I really think that's enough said. :)
